"Manual Aguilar founded CASSA in order to address the lack of access to decent housing faced by one billion people worldwide. The company is centered around the design and construction of self-sufficient social housing.

The model of housing designed by this young innovator is equipped to compensate the lack of basic services like running water, sanitation and electricity, as well as the use of unsafe, temporary materials. It also mitigates the uncontrolled deforestation used to provide construction materials and fuel.

The materials used to construct the housing are natural and ecological, and they integrate various technological solutions to guarantee the provision of basic water and electrical services at an affordable cost for low income residents. CASSA's houses are 50 square meters big, and cost approximately 13,000 dollars."
