"While the number of users browsing from mobile devices is growing at a massive pace worldwide, traps against which traditional protection systems are becoming increasingly less effective, like the terms pharming, phishing and man in the middle remain foreign to most Internet users.

The innovator Sebastian Stranieri has developed a way of bypassing such terms while ensuring the security of online transactions. Aware that the unique identity of web surfers becomes a set of nicknames, usernames and passwords that vary with each connection, it is essential for an authentication system to verify the identity of individuals who otherwise may become targets of fraudulent schemes.

This young Management student at the University of Buenos Aires is the founder of VU Security, whose computing solutions help to prevent crimes such as message interception by third parties, data theft or id phishing. VU Security is based on the inclusion of up to four factors for authentication or validation processes for computer-based operations to secure transactions without reducing the usability of the systems.

This innovative student´s proposal offers a much more secure solution that can modify the way transactions on the Internet are validated. Due to its flexibility and efficiency, in just six years is has been implemented by most Argentinean banks: Credicoop, Banelco, Bank of the Republic of Uruguay and HSBC.

Stranieri’s technology is based on internationally endorsed technological standards, and is also compatible with a variety of software providers, which allows it to integrate with more manufacturers from around the world. Cisco Systems, Juniper, Citrix, Fortinet and Microsoft recommend and certify Stranieri´s system. In addition, several companies in Latin America and Europe market Stranieri´s solution, adding modifications to its core technology to adapt to other markets."
