"Gustavo Caetano was born in a small town in Brazil. Five years ago, this young entrepreneur created Samba Tech while he was still studying at the School of Advertising and Marketing in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). This company offers an online video platform specialized for corporations and has won several national and international awards such as those granted by Business Insider and Forbes.

The strangest thing about Samba Tech´s story is that the company started out as a distributor for mobile games. Caetano was interested in the world of business oriented to technologies, especially the media. In 2004 he entered an emerging market in Brazil: mobile game applications. However, the company had a problem: the technology used was external. Their own advancement was dependent on others since they had not developed on their own technology.

On the other hand, the digital market was in full revolution with Google about to buy YouTube. At that time we believed it was necessary to “change the focus of the company,” said Caetano. They decided to move away from the sale of mobile games and turned toward the online video market instead.

They needed to differentiate themselves from YouTube, so Samba Tech built a white label platform that could be used by media groups and businesses which could not or did not want to use the Google video channel. Currently, thanks to the solution devised by Caetano, these companies can broadcast their videos via the internet, connected TVs and mobile devices.

Later, in 2011, Samba Tech introduced two new products which later transformed into two independent companies: AdStream Samba, which provides a digital, quick and easy workflow between advertising agencies and television, and Samba Ads, a spin-off in the area of ??online video advertising.

In a short period of time, Caetano has positioned the company with a 10% domestic market share and has begun the process of internationalization. He has opened new offices in countries like Argentina and works with clients throughout Latin America. In order to manage all their product lines and services, in 2013, he created the Samba Group, a holding company that controls all three-business lines."
