Access to drinking water and basic sanitation is a global challenge that affects millions of people in situations of socio-environmental vulnerability. Many communities around the world face scarcity of essential resources, with serious consequences for their health, education, and quality of life. Faced with this challenging scenario, Anna Luísa Beserra founded Sustainable Development and Water for All (SDW). Its focus is on promoting access to basic resources such as drinking water and sanitation, with the aim of positively changing the reality of these communities. Through innovative products and social projects, SDW provides safe solutions to meet these basic needs, resulting in significant improvements in health, education, and income.

SDW's portfolio includes four technologies, two related to water and two related to sanitation. Since the launch of its first product in 2019, the startup has benefited more than 15,000 people in 15 states in Brazil, with a focus on semi-arid regions, as well as in two provinces in Ecuador. This positive impact has not gone unnoticed by international bodies such as the UN and UNESCO, which have recognized SDW's work with more than 30 national and international awards.

Anna is a social scientist and entrepreneur who has been working since the age of fifteen to democratize access to water and sanitation around the world through innovative, user-centered, and affordable technologies. As CEO of the startup, it is estimated that the projects already implemented will result in a return of more than R$90 million to society. This means that for every R$1.00 invested in SDW, R$27.00 is saved in health, education and income, demonstrating the transformative power of the initiative.
