Oskar Kiwic is using artificial intelligence to help patients manage their heart failure and heart disease treatments. CardioCube, the device Kiwic and his team are developing, integrates a voice recognition interface with machine learning technology to create specialized treatment plans for patients and deliver the comfort of having a doctor in their own home. This device gives patients the “human touch” that is lacking in most other products on the market. The impact of this device will be significant. Its big data collection will allow for the optimization of patient care, making treatments more accurate. Furthermore, providing treatment histories in an easier way to hospitals and insurance companies will bring down costs wherever the device is applied. Kiwic plans to have CardioCube fully licensed and Federal Drug Administration approved by the end of 2020.
