Passionate about the intersection of technology and medicine, native Madrilenian Eduardo Jorgensen has developed a technology that could change the face of diabetes treatment. His company MedicSen combines artificial intelligence and a needle-free technology to create a type of non-invasive, “artificial pancreas”. Jorgensen’s software algorithm tracks an array of variables in real time to identify patterns and predict risky events for patients. Additionally, his wearable smartpatch works as a drug delivery device to automatically close the treatment loop guided by the aforementioned algorithm. Eduardo and his team are convinced that MedicSen will improve treatment engagement and, most importantly, the quality of life of diabetes patients.
